Join us for a lecture from David Rafael Velázquez Seiferheld, which will be delivered in Spanish. Empanadas will be served after the presentation. David Rafael Velázquez Seiferheld is a professor and researcher at the Metropolitan University of Asunción; the Legislative Academy; and the National University of Villarrica del Espíritu Santo, specializing in Paraguayan history, the history of education, and social history. He has authored numerous academic publications, most notably Mbo’e. Introducción a la historia de la educación paraguaya. His research also encompasses critical documentary analysis from the 18th to the 20th centuries, as well as the study of contemporary political and ideological trajectories. Currently, he is an active member of Paraguayan and international historical research networks and serves as a guest lecturer at various academic forums both in the region and abroad. Part of the Latin American Studies Presents lecture series.
