The Utah Individual Development Account Network financial education and matched savings program, breaks the cycle of poverty and moves low income working Utahns into the financial mainstream. Low income working Utahns or below 200% of the federal poverty level complete personal financial management education, save regularly in a saving/investment account called an individual development account (IDA) and purchase one of 4 approved productive assets: 1) First Homes, 2) business startup/capitalizations, 3) post secondary education including vocational training, 4) assistive technology for work related activities. The Utah Individual Development Account Network matches participants with $3 match toward every $1 (up to $1500) they save toward the purchase of an approved asset. For more information and registration please contact Suzanne Prevedel at 738-1140.
