Join us for an Odyssey Day lecture by Mark L Damen, a student of Latin and Classics, and a professor of ancient history, myth and society, classical drama, language and etymology, theatre history, and playwriting. Damen will be speaking about how fiction can encompass a lot of history, and how what really happened in the past does not have to be packaged as history to deliver an accurate picture of life long ago, using Homer's Odyssey and Iliad and Virgil's Aeneid.
