A sandy swimming beach in the middle of a neighbourhood, with water shallow enough at the edge for small children. The catch is parking: the lot closes once it is full on summer weekends and nearby street parking is restricted, so arrive before ten or plan to walk in.

Indoor leisure pool with a lazy river and slides, warm enough for toddlers, which makes it the winter answer to the summer pool question. Busy in the two hours after school lets out.

Full water park with a wave pool and a toddler area. It is a whole day and it is expensive at the gate, so buy online ahead. Late afternoon entry on a weekday is the cheapest way to try it.
