Free, warm, and open when almost nothing else is. Runs its own children's programmes, which the library events source picks up separately.

Clark Planetarium
The exhibit floor costs nothing, which makes it a genuine free option rather than a ticketed one with a free corner.
Sandy
Bell Canyon Trail
Reservoir at the first mile makes a natural turnaround with children. Parking fills early on Saturday mornings.
South Jordan
Day Ranch Bike Park
Daybreak's pump track. Quieter on weekday evenings than weekends.
Jordan River Parkway
Paved and flat the whole way, which makes it the reliable answer for a family ride with mixed abilities. Rideable in winter when it is clear.
West Jordan
West Jordan Wheels Park
Pump track and progression lines with a beginner loop, so a younger rider is not stuck watching. Bring water: there is very little shade.
